  • World Book Day 2024

Wed 28 Feb 2024 Mr Shepherd

    World Book Day Homework

    Dear Parents/Carers,

For this week’s homework, as a school, we would like the children to make a ‘Story in a Box’.

The children will need to choose a story of their choice and use this to create their box. The boxes could be made out of shoe boxes or any other small boxes, which are similar.

They can choose a scene from the story or make moveable characters or scenes to help them retell - it is completely up to them. They can be as creative as they would like to be!

Please could the boxes to be brought into school on Thursday 7th March 2024 - which is World Book Day this year!

On this day, the children will be able to share their boxes with their class.

The boxes will also be displayed on the evenings of the parent consultations for parents/carers to see.

    World Book Day 2024 - 7th March 2024
On world book day, the children can come to school dressed as their favourite book character or come to school in comfy clothes (pyjamas are permitted) We ask that children wear sensible footwear on this day, as weather permitting they will be going outside for break and lunch time.

    Many thanks,
    Mr Shepherd
