THIS WEEK'S LEARNING Week Beginning 13.11.17

Maths - Doubling Decimals using known facts e.g double 12 is 24 so double 1.2 is 2,4 / Using Grid Method and Showing Links to Expanded Multiplication Method / Measuring Capacity / Working out Water Bills for Households

Science - This week we will be looking at how unhealthy foods affect the lungs and hearts in our bodies.

English- This week Y5 will be looking at planning and writing our very own Mystery Stories.

Topic - This week we will be looking at Victorian Toys for Rich and Poor people.

Welsh - This week we will be looking at reading and identifying Timetables for Trains

DT - This week we will be looking at bridges

Class debate - Should School Uniform be smart



Pupils in Y5 have maths homework every Friday which consolidates learning in class during that week. Homework is to be handed in to Mr Shepherd on a Wednesday.


Homework given out on Friday 10th November: To create a poster for Fake free Newport.

Write spellings into sentences.
